Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute Tomas Lundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Elliott Drake sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute, Elliott Drake ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. When Milagros Cabal fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Milagros Cabal a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Elliott Drake kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 1-4 in the 88 minute of play. Honduras's Milagros Cabal got his second yellow card of the match in the 97th minute. The referee ordered Milagros Cabal off the ground. In the 98th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Cabal to maneuver through the defense. Boom Shaka Laka were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Honduras's much stronger midfield.
