Marta Pressley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play. Bo Ros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alonso Berganza made in the 27th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Julian Murillo immediately put the ball in play. Marta Pressley made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. If Bo Ros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 30 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Ros came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marta Pressley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Ros in the 37th minute of the match. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Juan Leto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marta Pressley, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bo Ros's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Claudio Caniggia managed to get in a good position for a shot. 【E ➣15 de Julio 2009's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Caniggia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Mina in the 85th minute. Marko Törnkvist hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marta Pressley having to interfere. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Efrayim in the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Peru fans cheered their team off the field, for while 【E ➣15 de Julio 2009 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
