Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anzhelo Gerushin having to interfere. Lyuboslav Popinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. When Bilyan Fudulov fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ЦСКА's protests and gave Bilyan Fudulov a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ЦСКА getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Bilyan Fudulov hit a great ball. Anzhelo Gerushin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Villa in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Belcho Hlebarov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 51st minute of play forced ЦСКА's goalkeeper Anzhelo Gerushin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 played minutes ЦСКА got a freekick which was hit by Belcho Hlebarov. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by ЦСКА's Belcho Hlebarov. But to his dismay, Belcho Hlebarov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ivelin Ananiev in the 61 minute of the game. In the 65th minute, Luca Espinar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belcho Hlebarov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Anzhelo Gerushin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 84th minute of play. Emanuel Ocampo kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Anzhelo Gerushin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 87th minute of the match. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ivelin Ananiev in the 89 minute of the game. When the final whistle went the supporters of ЦСКА were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Honduras side.
