Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Winthont FC's Eelco Neijsen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Winthont FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Fokke Bergman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fokke Bergman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Winthont FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fokke Bergman came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play forced Winthont FC's goalkeeper Fokke Bergman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute of the match, Eelco Neijsen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jacob Adams hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Fokke Bergman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. In the 30th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fokke Bergman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Tjeerd Jonkman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fokke Bergman had in the 41stth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Winthont FC defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fokke Bergman. The Winthont FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fokke Bergman should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Fokke Bergman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 47th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Winthont FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Fokke Bergman, making the score, 0-3. In the 54th match minute, Winthont FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Smit to maneuver through the defense. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fokke Bergman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meindert de Gooijer in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of play forced Winthont FC's goalkeeper Fokke Bergman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Winthont FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fokke Bergman came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Winthont FC's Meindert de Gooijer got a free kick in the 74th minute. Winthont FC's Fokke Bergman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Winthont FC from getting a goal against them. Fokke Bergman was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-5. Fokke Bergman was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Fokke Bergman to make any attempt to save it. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Fokke Bergman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
