Marta Pressley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milagros Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Marko Törnkvist made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. Julian Murillo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marta Pressley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bo Ros to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Efraim Gilabert. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Tejedor got free with Marta Pressley in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Caniggia in the 59th minute of play. 【E ➣15 de Julio 2009's Marcelino Romo was substituted for Hugo Bela. 【E ➣15 de Julio 2009's Dave Efrayim was substituted for Bo Ros. Levin Hasselberg made in the 65th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Joaquin Prats. Diego Millrick hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Antonio Orlo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Julian Murillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marta Pressley having to make a save. With a little luck, 【E ➣15 de Julio 2009's Marta Pressley got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dave Efrayim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Marta Pressley was a little too slow when Rafael Gallo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Efrayim in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
