Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmelo Sifon in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Carmelo Sifon sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Madrid de Guatemala's Carmelo Sifon. But to his dismay, Carmelo Sifon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 35th minute of play forced Real Madrid de Guatemala's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Angel Botello got a free kick in the 36th minute. The supporters of Real Madrid de Guatemala booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 41 played minutes, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Rolando Guevara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real Madrid de Guatemala reached it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Jimenez in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Carmelo Sifon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 56th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Sifon in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Rolando Guevara got a free kick in the 59th minute. Carmelo Sifon didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-4 via right post in the game's 63rd minute. Real Madrid de Guatemala's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Real Madrid de Guatemala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Santamaria didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patricio Costa scored 1-5 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Luiz Goiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Real Madrid de Guatemala's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Sílvio Luiz Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sasho Inkyov during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 86 played minutes Real Madrid de Guatemala got a freekick which was hit by Sasho Inkyov.
