Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vladimir Alferov took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Afşar Uzgoren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afşar Uzgoren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 6th minute of play. Afşar Uzgoren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afşar Uzgoren was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 18th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Afşar Uzgoren. Galatasaray's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Afşar Uzgoren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Afşar Uzgoren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. In the 22ndth minute of the game Vladimir Alferov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Galatasaray's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Afşar Uzgoren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the Galatasaray defense, Felix Montes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afşar Uzgoren. The Galatasaray fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afşar Uzgoren should have stopped the shot. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute of the match Galatasaray got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonid Gulyaev ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afşar Uzgoren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Afşar Uzgoren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Galatasaray's goalkeeper Afşar Uzgoren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Afşar Uzgoren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Galatasaray's Afşar Uzgoren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Afşar Uzgoren in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afşar Uzgoren came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goalkeeper Afşar Uzgoren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 73rd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Afşar Uzgoren was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute Vladimir Alferov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Tytus Raschke hit a great ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Alferov in the 87th minute of play. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Afşar Uzgoren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
