Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Axel Tasis made the kick off which started today's match. After 3 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. West Staines Massive's Helmuth Follmann shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benito Sanz but with some difficulty. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Noboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calvin Kuckhoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the match, Dan Rowell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dan Rowell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 12th minute Patrick Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Patrick Galvão took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. In the 20th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Helmuth Follmann. In the 23rd minute, West Staines Massive's Patrick Galvão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. After 26 minutes, Patrick Galvão made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, West Staines Massive's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Calvin Kuckhoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Patrick Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Calvin Kuckhoff was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The West Staines Massive fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when West Staines Massive's Patrick Galvão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 47 minutes, Anastasios Boukouvalas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Staines Massive's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasios Boukouvalas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 9-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick Galvão to make the kick off. A collision led to West Staines Massive getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Dan Rowell hit a great ball. After having played for 53 minutes, Patrick Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Staines Massive's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the game, West Staines Massive's Patrick Galvão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. Anastasios Boukouvalas struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Staines Massive. Michael Weniger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 69th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. The referee gave West Staines Massive a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Michael Weniger, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. 12-0. 74 minutes into the match, Patrick Galvão notched a goal, 13-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benno Meves went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 14-0 was the resulting score. 81 minutes into the match, Helmuth Follmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Helmuth Follmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 15-0. In the 89th minute Michael Weniger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Galvão in the 91st minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Galvão in the 92nd minute of play. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrick Galvão went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 16-0 was the resulting score. West Staines Massive made a substitution. Yuan Qi replaced Moses Bardhan. West Staines Massive walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
