Edsbyn's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Edsbyn's Gunnar Pååk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. 38 minutes into the game, Gunnar Pååk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Edsbyn booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gunnar Pååk to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Jonathan Venegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Angheloiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tudor Angheloiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Venegas in the 53rd minute of the match. Tudor Angheloiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jose Correa went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Balotelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Anton Balotelli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Pååk came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gunnar Pååk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tudor Angheloiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Edsbyn's Tudor Angheloiu got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Angheloiu having to interfere. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
