Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jan Trzenzalski got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Feteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jan Trzenzalski 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Tiberiu Dulgherescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Tiberiu Dulgherescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Jan Trzenzalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play forced Politehnica Iasi's goalkeeper Emilian Feteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Trzenzalski in the 26th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Politehnica Iasi were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. David Cărtărescu took the corner. A nice corner shot did that David Cărtărescu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilian Feteanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play forced Politehnica Iasi's goalkeeper Emilian Feteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilian Feteanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 43 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilian Feteanu. Politehnica Iasi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 46 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorginho Queiroz. In the 47th minute of the match Politehnica Iasi got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Cărtărescu ran over to the corner to take the kick.

55 minutes into the match, Politehnica Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Emilian Feteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Tiberiu Dulgherescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Politehnica Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiberiu Dulgherescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Tiberiu Dulgherescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Jan Trzenzalski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Politehnica Iasi's Fabian Plopeanu got a free kick in the 71st minute. With a little luck, Politehnica Iasi's Emilian Feteanu got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Agustín Saelices drilling the ball in to score 1-3 behind Politehnica Iasi's goalkeeper. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Dulgherescu in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Jan Trzenzalski notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Emilian Feteanu in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emilian Feteanu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 84 minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
