The Bottledome
Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0)
Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Chile's Gerardo Pozo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gerardo Pozo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chile protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gerardo Pozo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 5th minute, one of Chile:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chile. Tom Rheistein shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 18th minute of the match, Rafael van der Vaart tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thiago Pliego saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 19 minutes, Aron Warren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glasston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aron Warren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After recieving a nice pass, Glasston's Tom Rheistein tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Chile's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Rafael van der Vaart scored to the left of an out of position Thiago Pliego, making the score, 1-0. Rafael van der Vaart in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thiago Pliego, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute Glasston were awarded a corner. Tom Rheistein went to the cornerflag to take it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael van der Vaart stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Watts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael van der Vaart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mete Golob in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th minute Mete Golob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Golob in the 62nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavier Figueroa kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael van der Vaart in the 66th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Casaus got free with Carlton Convine in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Glasston's Mete Golob. But to his dismay, Mete Golob quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The Glasston fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Glasston's Rafael van der Vaart looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 74 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael van der Vaart came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eddy Watts went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Orlando Casaus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlton Convine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rafael van der Vaart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Watts in the 85th minute of play.
