Alberto Tafalla spun around in front of the goal 9 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 11th minute of play forced Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Cristoforo Tammaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Makis Galopoulos hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristoforo Tammaro. Cristoforo Tammaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cristoforo Tammaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Cristoforo Tammaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Martini, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute, one of Lunatics of Arianrhod:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lunatics of Arianrhod. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Lunatics of Arianrhod made a substitution. Francesco Romino replaced Elia Di Sipio. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Lunatics of Arianrhod's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristoforo Tammaro came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Facundo Cadaval kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Hibai in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Francesco Romino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lunatics of Arianrhod fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Joel Hibai put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Cristoforo Tammaro in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 91 minutes in the game, Luca Zorita fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cristoforo Tammaro having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Makis Galopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Martini in the 95th minute of play. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
