Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Zegreanu in the 13th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Abel Blasi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Daniel Zorita got free in front of the goal in the 25th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Tibor Berkes was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tibor Berkes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Tibor Berkes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tibor Berkes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Gisbert in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tibor Berkes saved FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA from getting behind. In the 45th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA's Tibor Berkes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Tibor Berkes in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute of play forced FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA's goalkeeper Tibor Berkes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee showed Daniel Zorita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Bitxintxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA's Tibor Berkes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the game, Teodor Zegreanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC. BRAILA-CHERCEA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick.
