With an all-out effort, Mjällby AIF's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joseph Stalin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mjällby AIF's Saltuk Arabacıoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Mjällby AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Wahlnäs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Saltuk Arabacıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the game, one of Mjällby AIF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Patricio Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Uno Kilman scored 2-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Saltuk Arabacıoğlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute. In the 85th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
