The referee showed Guillermo Mariano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johan Kruse in the 70th minute of play. Ture Viberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 72nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Ture Viberg in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
