When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-2 when España Gilavert sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Vitor Araso in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute of the match Colombia got a corner. CD Chinangachi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Axel Montenegro made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that CD Chinangachi's Vitor Araso managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Vitor Araso in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CD Chinangachi's Vitor Araso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save CD Chinangachi from getting a goal against them. Vitor Araso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Joshua Garrido fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vitor Araso, passed just outside the right post. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by España Gilavert in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Pirani came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitor Araso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 61st minute of play forced CD Chinangachi's goalkeeper Vitor Araso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as CD Chinangachi's España Gilavert slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 1-4 after 62 minutes of play. CD Chinangachi's Xano Correa was substituted for Louis Moraitis. The supporters of Colombia booed when CD Chinangachi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Baladi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. After having played for 69 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitor Araso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 71st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitor Araso saved CD Chinangachi from getting behind. In the 78th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitor Araso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CD Chinangachi's Vitor Araso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Mastache in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Garrido in the 80th minute of play forced CD Chinangachi's goalkeeper Vitor Araso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CD Chinangachi's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
