The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Peru:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Los kyes:s goal. In the 35th minute there was a penalty for Los kyes. Eutropio Jauregui stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rolando Noboa. 1-3. After 37 played minutes Los kyes got a freekick which was hit by Eutropio Jauregui. After 46 played minutes Los kyes got a freekick which was hit by Iker Quintin.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luz Tejedor to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Peru's Luz Tejedor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vidal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Julio Vidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Julio Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 64th minute of the match. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Peru had held the ball for most of the match.
