With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Ziemowit Majorski tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Grigore Irod kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 18th minute of play forced G-TN rest-ART's goalkeeper Steve De Wyngaert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grigore Irod in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, G-TN rest-ART's Wit Ludzia got a free kick in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ziemowit Majorski succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 34th playminute. Grigore Irod could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Steve De Wyngaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ziemowit Majorski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ziemowit Majorski in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Grigore Irod to make the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pál Szabó in the 52nd minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigore Irod in the 62nd minute of play. After 68 played minutes G-TN rest-ART got a freekick which was hit by Christer Blom. After having played for 69 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steve De Wyngaert. Steve De Wyngaert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. G-TN rest-ART's Róbert Čapo was substituted for Andrej Buday. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ecuador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for G-TN rest-ART.
