After having played for 14 minutes, Emilio Eduardov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OLYMPIOS ZEUS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Eduardov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Valentín Carvallo fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Valentín Carvallo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of OLYMPIOS ZEUS booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentín Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 minutes, Adolf Putin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OLYMPIOS ZEUS and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolf Putin to make the kick off. 64 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Adolf Putin came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Emilio Eduardov put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Lautaro Navarro. OLYMPIOS ZEUS's Baldomiro Llorenc was substituted for Adolf Putin. 80 minutes into the game, Turan Gençyaz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 91st minute, Christian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honduras were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
