In the 2nd match minute, Electric Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmund Bergfelt to maneuver through the defense. 1-0 became the score in the 4th minute when Fred Petersson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Fred Petersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. After 11 minutes, Felix Montenegro made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Electric Sharks's Magnus Löfdahl tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aan Aae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Electric Sharks's goalkeeper Magnus Löfdahl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carl Mellberg hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Electric Sharks's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magnus Löfdahl came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 minutes Electric Sharks's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Magnus Löfdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, Electric Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Petersson to maneuver through the defense. Carl Mellberg hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Magnus Löfdahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 55th minute of the match. Magnus Löfdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute Aan Aae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Electric Sharks's Herbert Ekblom got a free kick in the 76th minute. A collision led to Electric Sharks getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Herbert Ekblom hit a great ball. In the 77th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Magnus Löfdahl skillfully saved the ball. Magnus Löfdahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Magnus Löfdahl could save by the left post. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Electric Sharks's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Magnus Löfdahl quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Sancho during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Electric Sharks booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Electric Sharks's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magnus Löfdahl came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 95 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
