When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Abraão made a kick off. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 2-0 when 陆西迅 sped through Mexico's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Omar Duardo made a huge save. Omar Duardo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Gaona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 61 minute of play. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Luca Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Omar Duardo quite easily take care of the ball. 68 minutes in the game, Lautaro Mancebo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Omar Duardo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vancouver Reds's 严霆梁 got a free kick in the 70th minute. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vancouver Reds's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vancouver Reds's Omar Duardo did a great save. Luca Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Omar Duardo. Ferdinand Boucher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. The corner led to Mexico's Luca Rouco getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Despite being the better team, Mexico failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
