After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolf Putin in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Hugo Ferrant charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Ferrant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Emilio Eduardov put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. In the 25th minute, Odysseas Vlassopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Odysseas Vlassopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. OLYMPIOS ZEUS's supporters rose to their feet, but Odysseas Vlassopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in OLYMPIOS ZEUS's zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thanos Kopitsis came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Luke Tovar kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of OLYMPIOS ZEUS booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. OLYMPIOS ZEUS's attentive Sokratis Papafanakis managed to snatch the ball when Efrain Moruga made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. In the 57th minute, Emilio Eduardov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Luke Tovar's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luke Tovar helped the player get up and apologised. Adolf Putin in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Emilio Eduardov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Adolf Putins short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to OLYMPIOS ZEUS getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Emilio Eduardov hit a great ball. Emilio Eduardov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over OLYMPIOS ZEUS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
