The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. ☆☆☆☆☆TÜRK YILDIZLARI☆☆☆☆☆'s Berat Özdurdu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Hakan Savaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Dinu Drăgoescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boguslaw Tomiczek in the 32nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dinu Drăgoescu was slow to take the kick. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of ☆☆☆☆☆TÜRK YILDIZLARI☆☆☆☆☆ booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. ☆☆☆☆☆TÜRK YILDIZLARI☆☆☆☆☆'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dinu Drăgoescu in the 59th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Xavier Antich heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökdeniz Karadeniz in the 64th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robin Vrieling kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Berat Özdurdu made a huge save. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by ☆☆☆☆☆TÜRK YILDIZLARI☆☆☆☆☆'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. Gökdeniz Karadeniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 94 played minutes ☆☆☆☆☆TÜRK YILDIZLARI☆☆☆☆☆ got a freekick which was hit by Boguslaw Tomiczek. The ☆☆☆☆☆TÜRK YILDIZLARI☆☆☆☆☆ players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
