Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Aznar having to interfere. Honduras's attentive Milagros Cabal managed to snatch the ball when Fermín Trujillo made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. After 34 minutes of play, Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Club Deportivo O IRIXO booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Espiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrei Gil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Mariano Canal made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Mariano Canal with Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrei Gil made a kick off. A hard shot 56 in the game by Edmundo Espiga from a close distance when the talented Claudio Aznar managed to make a qualified save. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's players were relieved. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Aznar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Milagros Cabal got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Club Deportivo O IRIXO could leave the field as winners, despite Honduras having more of the ball for most of the match.
