Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Fabian Obano kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 7th minute Salta Futbol Club were awarded a corner. Stéphane Le Thiec went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Salta Futbol Club's corner Primitivo Goizeder fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Salta Futbol Club were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stéphane Le Thiec took the corner. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Salta Futbol Club's Gavra Parezanović got a free kick in the 17th minute. Jimeno Teodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. Jimeno Teodor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Obano in the 26th minute of play. Jimeno Teodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Obano in the 29th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimeno Teodor. Jimeno Teodor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Salta Futbol Club's Fabian Obano in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. In the 46thth minute of the game Fabian Obano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Salta Futbol Club's Jimeno Teodor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Salta Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. When Salta Futbol Club's Fabian Obano in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabian Obano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavra Parezanović in the 72nd minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavra Parezanović in the 73rd minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Obano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jimeno Teodor could save by the left post. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Teodor having to interfere. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Salta Futbol Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
