Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Silva in the 44th minute of play. Hong Fan Jie kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milagros Fraga might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexander Manninger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The Peru players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
