The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 3 in the game by Pavel Kenov from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. In the 4th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. Pavel Kenov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Pavel Kenov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ikonom Brúmbarov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Mario Kisev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Temida Sf's Pavel Kenov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 16 minutes, Rafail Lozenski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Temida Sf and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ikonom Brúmbarov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Luis Andino notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Temida Sf's Ikonom Brúmbarov. Ikonom Brúmbarov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 34 minutes, Pavel Kenov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Temida Sf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Kenov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ikonom Brúmbarov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pavel Kenov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Kisev in the 52nd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Kenov came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Kenov in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute Traycho Stamboldzhiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Temida Sf booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pavel Kenov in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 65th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After 71 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ikonom Brúmbarov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th match minute, Temida Sf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gu Di Chong to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinko Ormandzhiev in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Temida Sf getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Gu Di Chong hit a great ball. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador played a much better game than Temida Sf and deserved their victory. The Temida Sf players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
