If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Moruga during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. After 30 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. After 34 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 37th minute of play forced NusaybinSpor's goalkeeper Sebastian Markusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Türkeş Gencer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Türkeş Gencer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaffar Okan in the 53rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 62nd match minute, NusaybinSpor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akşemseddin Hidayet to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Markusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Sebastian Markusson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Alan Moruga's late challenge caught a NusaybinSpor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alan Moruga helped the player get up and apologised. Sebastian Markusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 78th minute of play. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Markusson having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. Egemen Özbek hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Türkeş Gencer in the 95th minute of play. NusaybinSpor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
