Cristoforo Brillante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Kevin Mastache cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Cristoforo Brillante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristoforo Brillante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristoforo Brillante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 18th minute of the match. AC Roma's Cristoforo Brillante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Cazalla in the 20th minute of play. Abram Sarmiento hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Antonio Indiano kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 33 minutes in the game, Alvaro Sforza dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 34th minute of play forced AC Roma's goalkeeper Cristoforo Brillante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessio Odisio took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a rather tough play, AC Roma's Ernesto Errolan got a free kick in the 43rd minute. If Abram Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Indiano lost his temper 48 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Colombia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AC Roma:s goal. 3-1 came through a penalty shot after 49 played minutes, when AC Roma:s Alvaro Sforza calmly waited for Colombia:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Ernesto Errolan threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Axel Montenegro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santino Seco got free with Cristoforo Brillante in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th match minute, AC Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessio Odisio to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute Javier Della Francesca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Sforza, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Colombia's Abram Secada quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ernesto Errolan, made in the 75th minute of the game. Joshua Garrido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Colombia booed when AC Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Errolan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignacio Mastache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristoforo Brillante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Ignacio Mastache put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cristoforo Brillante. AC Roma were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Colombia for a fine match.
