Naike Abalos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Mandarina Mecánica's Naike Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 14th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. La Mandarina Mecánica's Naike Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Mandarina Mecánica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Luca Zorita was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Fjölnir Bergsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Fjölnir Bergsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 26th minute. La Mandarina Mecánica's Naike Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Mancebo in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naike Abalos saved La Mandarina Mecánica from getting behind. When Fjölnir Bergsson fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Mandarina Mecánica's protests and gave Fjölnir Bergsson a yellow card for diving instead. Fjölnir Bergsson hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Mexico's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Arnaldo Colas scored to the left of an out of position Dante Lacasa, making the score, 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Marcos Abad charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Abad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Naike Abalos came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Naike Abalos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Naike Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 61st minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 62nd minute. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that La Mandarina Mecánica's Naike Abalos managed to reach the ball for a save. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alberto Tafalla who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Naike Abalos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Leonardo Leoz got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 73 played minutes La Mandarina Mecánica got a freekick which was hit by Lukáš Plesník. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Leonardo Leoz hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Naike Abalos. Joel Gaona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
