Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Marcos Cotilla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christoffer Dahlberg in the 19th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Christoffer Dahlberg came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Christoffer Dahlberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. Olle Biörkquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. In the 47th minute of the match, Abraham Alguacil sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Olle Biörkquist showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Christoffer Dahlberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla.
