In the 18th minute Cavaliers FC were awarded a corner. Teofilo Mikeldi went to the cornerflag to take it. Cavaliers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teofilo Mikeldi in the 21st minute. After taking down the ball on Cavaliers FC's corner Marcos Monsanto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and David Velecký quite easily take care of the ball. After 22 minutes, Teofilo Mikeldi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cavaliers FC and the Rohozec players grew even worse after the yellow card. Teofilo Mikeldi hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 26th match minute, Cavaliers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilo Mikeldi to maneuver through the defense. When Vítězslav Kršek fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rohozec's protests and gave Vítězslav Kršek a yellow card for diving instead. If Campos Ramiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelio Villegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítězslav Kršek in the 33rd minute of play. Cornelio Villegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Campos Ramiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítězslav Kršek in the 37th minute of play forced Cavaliers FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Villegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 played minutes Rohozec got a freekick which was hit by Xinto Palencia. The supporters of Cavaliers FC booed when Rohozec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xinto Palencia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Jordy hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastián Villa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kléber Lopes hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. A collision led to Rohozec getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Xinto Palencia hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, a hard, long distance shot from Teofilo Mikeldi hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. In the 64th minute, Sebastián Villa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xinto Palencia made in the 65th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kléber Lopes immediately put the ball in play. Cavaliers FC's Cornelio Villegas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Cavaliers FC from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute Sebastián Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Velecký saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Teofilo Mikeldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teofilo Mikeldi kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Cavaliers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastián Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jeremias Sandalio fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cavaliers FC's protests and gave Jeremias Sandalio a yellow card for diving instead. Xinto Palencia hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When Sebastián Villa came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Cavaliers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastián Villa couldn't finish the play. Cavaliers FC's Desiderio Rami was substituted for Sebastián Villa. Cavaliers FC's Marcos Arano was substituted for Ambrosio Iratxo. Many of Rohozec's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Rohozec may have spent more time on the ball, but Cavaliers FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
