Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th match minute, FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Madaleno to maneuver through the defense. Abel Carballo's late challenge caught a FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Celso Hartz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 26th minute of play forced FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's goalkeeper Celso Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Abajas in the 31st minute of the match. Celedonio Abajas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's Celso Hartz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 35th minute of play. Tomás Madaleno hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Hartz having to interfere. When Eliseo Noboa fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 minutes, Vicente Senin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Vicente Senin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Hartz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Maximiliano Shepherd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Maximiliano Shepherd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Abajas in the 53rd minute of play. Axel Tasis charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Tasis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. In the 60th minute, Zé Paulo Hermes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Paulo Hermes's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Shepherd, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute, FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eliseo Noboa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Zé Paulo Hermes put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Hermes in the 77th minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Paulo Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alan Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's Zé Paulo Hermes in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Maximiliano Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Paulo Hermes in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celedonio Abajas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, 김 최 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's supporters crossed their fingers, but 김 최 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá had played much better football throughout.
