Delmiro Ferrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. Barbudos FC's Severino Rojas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jose Carita in the 9 minute of the game. In the 21st match minute, Barbudos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilo Ermano to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Delmiro Ferrer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Ferrer in the 34th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Omar Abadia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 41st minute of play forced Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Omar Abadia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Barbudos FC's Delmiro Ferrer shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Carita during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Beccari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 played minutes Barbudos FC got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Garci. After having played for 85 minutes, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Barbudos FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
