Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Inácio Amaral took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fokke Meijeringh having to interfere. Fokke Meijeringh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Fokke Meijeringh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fokke Meijeringh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Inácio Amaral sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Fokke Meijeringh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fokke Meijeringh. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Fokke Meijeringh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Inácio Amaral hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 44 minutes, Hayden Hoebe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Kasteelheren and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, De Kasteelheren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayden Hoebe to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Inácio Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After a rather tough play, De Kasteelheren's Jos Everts got a free kick in the 54th minute. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Fokke Meijeringh made a huge save. De Kasteelheren's Fokke Meijeringh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute of play. After 68 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hayden Hoebe who took care of the corner kick. De Kasteelheren's Hayden Hoebe was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Inácio Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inácio Amaral in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. De Kasteelheren's Fokke Meijeringh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save De Kasteelheren from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inácio Amaral in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th minute, Iwo Fafinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Inácio Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Ferdi Vorenkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Fokke Meijeringh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Andino. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but De Kasteelheren's Fokke Meijeringh did a great save. With his leg Fokke Meijeringh managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 94 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fokke Meijeringh. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
