Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Agustín Saelices scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Jarstein, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 5th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo da Silva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Zé Paulo da Silva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 11th minute, Wilhelm Nienhaus made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 14th match minute, Hertha 1969 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Melzer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 16th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilhelm Nienhaus got free with Julio Vera in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kristian Oswald in the 21st minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Felix Montenegro advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-2 in the 25th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Gigel Elenescu sent off a good shot on target. Emilio Melzer kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Wilhelm Nienhaus made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Jarstein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute. Hertha 1969 made a substitution. Benedikt Bensch replaced Emilio Melzer. Ziemowit Tscherner kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Wilhelm Nienhaus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Wilhelm Nienhaus sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Elenescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rune Jarstein came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 4-4 in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 88th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 95 minutes on the clock, Antonio Arias commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! 5-4 came in the 98th minute when Moritz Hasenjäger all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Hertha 1969 were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
