In the 44th minute of the match, Julian Murillo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dave Clemente saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ettore Placidi hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ettore Placidi to make the kick off. A collision led to Glasgow Rangers FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Antonio Riccitelli hit a great ball. Dave Clemente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 58th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Ettore Placidi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
