Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jan-Kenneth Øglænd started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Fowler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 5 minutes FC Pladask's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Douglas Fowler quite easily take care of the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Alf Eik lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Julio Vera. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Kenneth Øglænd in the 13th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, FC Pladask's Tord Kaur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Douglas Fowler in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tord Kaur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Douglas Fowler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Douglas Fowler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of the match. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Morten Lauten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Douglas Fowler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Douglas Fowler. FC Pladask's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Douglas Fowler. That made the score 1-3 after 56 minutes of play. FC Pladask's Amund Gjerstad was substituted for Erik Bratli. Douglas Fowler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Pladask's goalkeeper Douglas Fowler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Pladask's Søren Skålevik got a free kick in the 74th minute. A collision led to FC Pladask getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Tord Kaur hit a great ball. With a little luck, FC Pladask's Douglas Fowler got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Pladask's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Douglas Fowler, making the score, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Kenneth Øglænd in the 81st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas Fowler made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute, Amund Gjerstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Fowler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
