UFC Veseud's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as UFC Veseud's Nurettin Ula slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-1 after 37 minutes of play. 46 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dinu Cănănău. UFC Veseud's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nurettin Ula in the 51st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after UFC Veseud's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After having played for 60 minutes, Nurettin Ula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC Veseud's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nurettin Ula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Nurettin Ula made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yu Hui Peng's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Dinu Cănănău made a huge save. Yu Hui Peng hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Octavian Roman's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavian Roman helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador made a substitution. Diego Mancebo replaced Luis Andino. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
