Alberigo Bianchini hit a great ball. The supporters of Glasgow Rangers FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Placidi in the 36th minute of play. After 38 minutes, Xie Xiang Yan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glasgow Rangers FC and the Colombia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xie Xiang Yan hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ettore Placidi's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. A well done corner resulted in Angelo Goffredo drilling the ball in to score 1-3 behind Colombia's goalkeeper. 61 minutes into the game, Colombia's Axel Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dave Clemente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. 65 minutes into the game, Luis Cazalla threw the ball into play from the sideline. Glasgow Rangers FC's Angelo Goffredo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 69 minutes into the match, Glasgow Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Dave Clemente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Glasgow Rangers FC's Carlo Attili was substituted for Armando Natalucci. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ettore Placidi's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Dave Clemente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Secada in the 80th minute of play. Ettore Placidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A throw-in in the 84th minute of the game was made by Antonio Indiano with Kevin Mastache as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ettore Placidi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. When Santino Seco fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colombia's protests and gave Santino Seco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Santino Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Colombia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Glasgow Rangers FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Glasgow Rangers FC.
