UFC Puturoasa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Ronaldo made a kick off. Dan Burduf hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. With a little luck, UFC Puturoasa's Anton Grimalschi got control of the ball when Luis Andino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Anton Grimalschi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute, Emil Dobândã ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. UFC Puturoasa's Anton Grimalschi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 90th minute of play. Anton Grimalschi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luis Andino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 91 minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
