Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Valter Wallgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Woopbongo's Valter Wallgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valter Wallgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Albohm. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Håkansson in the 46th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ola Håkansson in the 56th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Ola Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woopbongo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ola Håkansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mats Gerdberg charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mats Gerdberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Woopbongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Gerdberg to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Ola Håkansson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ola Håkansson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 66th minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Daniel Zorita played forward. With his leg Valter Wallgren managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 71st match minute, Woopbongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rutger Billberg to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Cristian Sancho could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Valter Wallgren however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Woopbongo's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valter Wallgren came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 played minutes Woopbongo got a freekick which was hit by You Qing Wen. Daniel Zorita succeeded in the game's 84th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Woopbongo's goalkeeper Valter Wallgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Valter Wallgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Valter Wallgren in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Woopbongo had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
