Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, SalentoUnited's goalkeeper Leone Cikaluk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 minutes, Yves Walker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SalentoUnited and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SalentoUnited's Yves Walker got a free kick in the 7th minute. Adrien Lampart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leone Cikaluk having to interfere. Yves Walker got his second yellow card in the match during the 14th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 15 played minutes SalentoUnited got a freekick which was hit by Yves Walker. Leone Cikaluk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrien Lampart in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leone Cikaluk having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrien Lampart in the 29th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SalentoUnited's Dagobert Emmenegger got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute Gilles Schaffhauser suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 33 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SalentoUnited the free kick. SalentoUnited's Werner Peavler was substituted for Gilles Schaffhauser. After 35 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Leone Cikaluk made a huge save. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leone Cikaluk having to interfere. After 40 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leone Cikaluk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Leone Cikaluk made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in SalentoUnited's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leone Cikaluk came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrien Lampart made a kick off. Tomas Illescas scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leone Cikaluk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute of play forced SalentoUnited's goalkeeper Leone Cikaluk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leone Cikaluk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. After 60 played minutes SalentoUnited got a freekick which was hit by Simon Walpert. After 77th play minutes Tomas Illescas shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Leone Cikaluk and just under the crossbar into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leone Cikaluk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SalentoUnited's Leone Cikaluk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 96th minute of play forced SalentoUnited's goalkeeper Leone Cikaluk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
