Aron Blom showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Blom in the 41st minute of the match. Arne Back sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mårten Olsman was slow to take the kick. During this time Mountainhammer United's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arne Back in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind.

The wind increased when Arne Back made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Aron Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mountainhammer United's supporters rose to their feet, but Aron Blom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Roar Klev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 58 minutes into the match, Aron Blom notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roar Klev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 78th minute of the match Mountainhammer United got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mårten Olsman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arne Back was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes, Mountainhammer United's Christoffer Häll shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mountainhammer United reached it. When Camilo Gaos fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Camilo Gaos a yellow card for diving instead. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mountainhammer United had played much better football throughout.
