In the 28th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. Adilson Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of the match. Efraim Gilabert hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. LOBO 1908's Adilson Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th minute Ernani Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Marquinhos Sharkin hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Adilson Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than LOBO 1908 throughout the match.
