Januário Severiano started the match with the kick off. Alex Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 8th minute of play. Alex Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ◄R.BOSNA I HERCEGOVINA► getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Arijan Kadirović hit a great ball. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alex Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Arotza Jimenez came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arotza Jimenez in the 26th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th match minute, ◄R.BOSNA I HERCEGOVINA► was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anđelko Eminović to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Alberto Tafalla put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alex Paranaense. ◄R.BOSNA I HERCEGOVINA►'s Alex Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 36th minute of play. In the 44th minute Myles Guy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alex Paranaense firmly grabbed it by the left post. Arotza Jimenez's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arotza Jimenez helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, ◄R.BOSNA I HERCEGOVINA►'s Alex Paranaense got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute, Mexico's Luca Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alex Paranaense. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. Alex Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Alex Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 77th minute of play. Alex Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Cüneyt Serafet came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 87th minute. Alex Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 89th minute of play. Alex Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
