Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 11th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toribio Puelles was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toribio Puelles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Ahonzo scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cutberto Tobia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Toribio Puelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Purchil's Rolando Noboa threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lukasz Zgonina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toribio Puelles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Toribio Puelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Toribio Puelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milagros Fraga might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toribio Puelles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Milagros Fraga ran back to his position shaking his head. 43 minutes into the game, Moises Gayoso threw the ball into play from the sideline. Purchil's Cutberto Tobia quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 46th minute of play forced Purchil's goalkeeper Toribio Puelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Cutberto Tobia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 52nd minute Juan Ahonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 52 minutes into the game, Purchil's Juan Ahonzo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Ahonzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Peru's Luz Tejedor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ace Cameron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milagros Fraga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Toribio Puelles firmly grabbed it by the left post. A sloppy throw-in by Eustaquio Rosalio in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After a defensive mix-up in Purchil's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toribio Puelles came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Purchil's Toribio Puelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 78th minute of play. Cutberto Tobia charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cutberto Tobia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Purchil getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Cutberto Tobia hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the game, Eustaquio Rosalio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Purchil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. After a rather tough play, Purchil's Eustaquio Rosalio got a free kick in the 80th minute. Purchil's Toribio Puelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 81st minute of play. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Juan Ahonzo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. 92 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toribio Puelles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 95 played minutes Purchil got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Alavedra. In the 96th minute, Eliseo Mina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Peru players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
