Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wictor Maiborg having to make a save. The supporters of A Sandvig G booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Joseph Kyndlev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Joseph Kyndlev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Serra in the 23rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lennarth Foxø in the 25th minute. With an all-out effort, A Sandvig G's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silvestre Serra, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wictor Maiborg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Lennarth Foxø tried to sneak it across the goal line.
