Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Stuart Holritz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wictor Maiborg saved A Sandvig G from getting behind. Lennarth Foxø could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Wictor Maiborg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Wictor Maiborg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Holritz in the 45th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A Sandvig G. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Wictor Maiborg in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wictor Maiborg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 68th minute. In the 68th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wictor Maiborg. The goal made the score 0-2. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
