After 17 minutes Merusca F&P - CIMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Merusca F&P - CIMZ getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Fellipe Capixaba hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrinho Paranaense. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro-Facundo Buffon having to interfere. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Merusca F&P - CIMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mauro-Facundo Buffon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Mauro-Facundo Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 31st minute of play. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. After having played for 39 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Florian Capasso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Dante Lacasa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 45th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Trevisan hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florian Capasso was the one to do the kick off. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Merusca F&P - CIMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Geovani Mangueira was substituted for Anderson Vidal. Merusca F&P - CIMZ made a substitution. Hélder Fonseca replaced Florian Capasso. After 68 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Fonseca in the 76th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Mauro-Facundo Buffon threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 83 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Fonseca came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 minutes, Roberto Bolt made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Merusca F&P - CIMZ players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
